Japan lever i den blodiga Sengoku-perioden. I sin roll som Daimyo regerar varje spelare \u00f6ver sina egna provinser. Denna avbildning av det k\u00e4nda inb\u00f6rdeskriget som kommer att avg\u00f6ra vem blir hela landets Shogun.<\/p>\n

I b\u00f6rjan av basspelet f\u00e5r spelarna reda p\u00e5 vilka omr\u00e5den de har kontroll \u00f6ver med hj\u00e4lp av omr\u00e5deskort. Dessa kan finnas var som helst runtom Japan, vilket betyder att spelarna genast har sv\u00e5ra val att g\u00f6ra. Det g\u00e4ller n\u00e4mligen att v\u00e4lja vilka omr\u00e5den de vill satsa p\u00e5 och vilka de \u00e4r beredda att offra till motspelarna f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 bra startpositioner. Dessutom m\u00e5ste var och en h\u00e5lla koll p\u00e5 att de kan producera tillr\u00e4ckligt guld och ris f\u00f6r att kunna bygga, rekrytera soldater och se till att det inte blir uppror i egna kontrollerade omr\u00e5den.<\/p>\n

N\u00e4r motst\u00e5ndares arm\u00e9er m\u00f6ts avg\u00f6rs krigets strider p\u00e5 ett unikt s\u00e4tt. B\u00e4gge spelare l\u00e4gger in sina egna soldatkuber i spelets speciella kubtorn. Den spelare vinner kampen, vars soldatkuber klarar sig genom tornet. Resten blir kvar och kan st\u00e4lla till med dramatiska sv\u00e4ngar i kommande strider. P\u00e5 detta s\u00e4tt har Dirk Henn \u00e5stadkommit en mer sp\u00e4nnande helhet \u00e4n vanliga t\u00e4rningskast.<\/p>\n

Spelet behandlar tv\u00e5 \u00e5r av tidsperioden i fr\u00e5ga. Efter det f\u00f6rsta \u00e5ret r\u00e4knar alla spelare po\u00e4ng innan spelet forts\u00e4tter tills den andra po\u00e4ngr\u00e4kningsfasen. Po\u00e4ng g\u00e5r att f\u00e5 f\u00f6r byggnader och omr\u00e5den. Att po\u00e4ngr\u00e4kningen sker i tv\u00e5 faser betyder att timing i s\u00e5v\u00e4l byggande som er\u00f6vringar spelar sin roll i Shogun.<\/p>\n

Shogun Big Box includes the base game of Shogun, Tenno’s Court Expansion 1, Samurai Expansion Module 2, Military Leaders Expansion Module 3 and Chambers Expansion Module 4, with the latter three items being unique to this release.<\/em><\/p>\n

With Samurai, at the beginning of each round when you control provinces in at least four regions, you reveal a better card and pick a bonus from it. For this reason, the first card is de facto unused, and the rest provide you with either gold (2,4,6), rice (0,1,2), armies on the tray (1,2,3) or victory points (0,0,1).<\/em><\/p>\n

With Military Leaders, every player is given one military leader figure to place on one of their controlled counties. While performing actions in this county, they get extra benefits, such as costs of buildings are reduced by 1 or they earn one extra grain. At the end of a player’s turn, they then move the leader to an adjacent county under their control, leaving a marker at the old location. If a player cannot place the leader adjacent to their county, they have to move it to any of their controlled counties, not leaving a marker behind. The more markers you have on the board at the end of the game, the more points will be awarded!<\/em><\/p>\n

For Chambers, many offices have to be taken in order to rule the land. For each region there are several positions to be filled by the players. At the beginning of each round, six chamber markers are revealed and placed on the corresponding spaces on the chamber tableau. These six positions are available to be filled in each region by the players. Whoever has the most counties under their control in that region will fill the position and exchange the camber marker on the tableau with one of their own player markers. At the end of the game, players are awarded extra points for majorities in horizontal and vertical lines on the chamber tableau.<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
